Control the Navy with Mind Power

Service members inside the cockpit need mental preparation to perform under pressure and it is the job of an aerospace experimental psychologist to provide this extensive preparation. These psychologists delve into the minds of pilots and help develop mental and emotional clarity for concentration during combat or other intense situations. Along with using their own mind powers to strengthen the minds of the pilots, aerospace experimental psychologists also test and evaluate aviation systems for safety, performance enhancement, safety, training and human factors.

Train Your Mind to Train the Navy

For this profession, the US Navy requires formal educational training at a college or university and a doctorate degree. The doctorate degree may be obtained in cognitive factors, experimental factors, human factors, industrial factors or organizational factors. Other acceptable doctorate degree programs include human sciences, industrial engineering, neuroscience or behavioral sciences.

Using Your Mind When You Leave the US Navy

Instead of an early Navy retirement to seek a civilian career position, aerospace experimental psychologists may continue to work for the US Military until they reach civilian retirement ages. However, should the psychologist choose to retire early, they will be able to use their specific doctorate degrees and Navy gained experience to find numerous and great job opportunities on the home front. Aerospace experimental psychologists may choose to work as simple psychologists for health clinics, universities or hospitals.
