Enjoy The Best of Both Worlds. Navy Reserve

Once, a sailor always a sailor … well that’s what all members of the US Navy Reserve believe. And to prove it, a significant number of Navy Reserve personnel sign up for “Active” status on conclusion of their service terms. They do so, in order to retain the strong bonds built with the navy over many years of service, and more so, because they wish to continue being of service to the nation.

The biggest advantage however, is that ‘Active’ status Navy Reserve is a “part-time” commitment. This way you can maintain your civilian job and lifestyle, WHILE serving the navy … and that’s the best of both worlds.

Of course, this can change in times of crises or war, IF the US Navy needs your services. Being the diehard, patriot and sailor you are, it goes without saying … you WILL make yourself available.

Work One Weekend A Month

In ‘Active’ status Navy Reserve, you’ll work just one weekend a month. Your workplace will be a designated Reserve Center, in most cases, one not too far from your home. So, you’ll have all the weekdays you need to be with your family.

Train Just Two Weeks A Year

Another big advantage of “active’ status Navy Reserve is that you’ll be needed just two weeks a year. This is when you’ll attend a training program to ensure deployment-readiness, in the event your services are urgently required during the rest of the year.
